On this excursion, you will also have the opportunity to board the End of the World Train, a unique experience.

The End of the World Train will take us to learn about the Austral Fueguino Railway, a 7-kilometer route that follows the legend of the "Prisoners' Train." Originally, this route started at the prison in the center of Ushuaia. Only prisoners rewarded for good behavior were authorized to perform this forced labor, which consisted of collecting firewood to heat the prison and the growing city of Ushuaia developing alongside it.

Back then, prisoners were transported shackled at the legs and back-to-back in precarious cargo wagons. Today, departures are from the "End of the World" station aboard a replica of the "Prisoners' Train." Visitors travel the same route that the convicts took decades ago to supply wood to the city. The current wagons are modern, heated, and have windows to enjoy the best views along the way. The train resumed its operations in 1994 with a purely tourist focus.

Throughout the journey, you can enjoy centuries-old forests, rivers, and peat bogs, and see the reconstruction of an indigenous settlement. The ride also includes a stop at the Macarena waterfall, and during the last 3 kilometers, we will enter Tierra del Fuego National Park. This train experience is an exciting addition to the visit to the National Park.

At the end of the train experience, passengers will meet with their respective vehicles and guides to explore the whole park and then return to Ushuaia.

In the afternoon, departure for the Lobos Island and Birds Excursion (includes port fee). Navigate between the Bridges Islands, the Archipelago, and the Les Eclaireus Lighthouse, crossing the Beagle Channel. This excursion offers an excellent opportunity to spot marine mammals and birds without disturbing them. Return to the hotel.
